Coordinating has a comma before the word that connects the two independent clauses to make a complet sentence. As the subordinating has a Semicolon before the word then a comma after.

Hayden: You are correct about the coordinating conjunction; however, I think you are thinking of a transition instead of a subordinationg conjunction for your second example.

coordinating has a comma before the conjuction and the c in coordinating could stand for comma, and subordinating conjuction makes it dependent instead of dependent

the way i remember it is... well the CO in COmma and the CO in COoredinating are the same so you could think of it as Commordinating for comma added together with coordnating. And subordinating conjuction, well i just remember it as dillon does, sobordinating makes it dependant instead of independant
